Terms of Service

1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to the BenEgeDeniz ID ("Platform", "Service", "We") service. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the BenEgeDeniz ID website, APIs, and related services. By accessing or using our Services, you declare that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.

2. Definitions

In this text;

  • "User": Refers to the real person who is a member of the platform or visits the platform,
  • "Developer": Refers to the person or institution developing applications using the platform's OAuth2 infrastructure,
  • "Account": Refers to the user record created to access the Services,
  • "Content": Refers to all kinds of data, text, files, and information provided by the user.

3. Scope and Use of Service

BenEgeDeniz ID is a centralized identity authentication (SSO) and authorization service. Users can log in to integrated third-party applications with a single account.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". BenEgeDeniz ID does not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure, but aims to keep the service quality high by making reasonable commercial efforts.

4. Account Creation and Security

  • Declaration of Accuracy: You agree that the information you provide during registration (Name, Surname, Email, T.C. Identity No, etc.) is accurate, up-to-date, and complete. You are legally responsible for false declarations.
  • Password Security: You are responsible for the security of your account. You should not share your password with anyone, use a strong password, and if possible, activate Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) or Passkey features.
  • Unauthorized Use: You must notify us immediately if you notice unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for transactions made until notification is given.

5. OAuth and Third-Party Integrations

You can log in to third-party applications ("Client Applications") via our platform.

  • Authorization: When logging in to an application, you grant access permission to the data requested by that application (e.g., Email, Profile Information). This permission occurs with your explicit consent.
  • Disclaimer: BenEgeDeniz ID is not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party applications. It is your responsibility to check the reliability of the application you authorize.
  • Revocation of Access: You can revoke the permissions you have given at any time from the "Connected Apps" panel.

6. Developer and API Terms of Use

Developers developing applications on the platform must comply with the following rules:

  • Process user data only for the purposes approved by the user and in compliance with KVKK/GDPR.
  • Clearly present the application's privacy policy and terms of use to users.
  • Comply with the platform's API limits and technical requirements.
  • Not to host malware, viruses, or malicious code.
  • Avoid activities that would damage the BenEgeDeniz ID brand or reputation.

7. Prohibited Behaviors

You undertake not to do the following when using the Services:

  • Engaging in activities that are illegal, constitute a crime, or violate the rights of others.
  • Testing, scanning, or attempting to breach the security of the system (Penetration testing is subject to permission).
  • Gaining unauthorized access to other users' accounts.
  • Engaging in spam, phishing, or similar fraudulent activities.
  • Performing operations that would place a disproportionate load on the platform's infrastructure (DDoS, etc.).

8. Intellectual Property Rights

The design, software, logo, database, and all other intellectual property rights of the BenEgeDeniz ID platform belong to us. Use of the Services does not grant you any ownership rights over these rights. A limited license is granted only for personal and non-commercial use.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, BenEgeDeniz ID cannot be held responsible for loss of profit, data loss, loss of reputation, or other indirect damages. We are not responsible for technical malfunctions, data losses, or security breaches (excluding gross negligence) that may occur as a result of using the platform.

10. Modification and Termination of Service

BenEgeDeniz ID reserves the right to change the features of the service, temporarily suspend it, or terminate it completely at any time without prior notice. In addition, we may suspend or delete your account if behavior contrary to these Terms is detected.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. When significant changes are made, we will notify you via your registered email address or platform notifications. Continuing to use the service after the changes means you accept the new terms.

12. Applicable Law and Competent Court

These Terms are subject to the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Istanbul Courts and Enforcement Offices are authorized for the resolution of any disputes arising from the use of the Service.
